Konner Little

He's here and we have been home now for 3 weeks and I couldn't ask for more with all of my boys/men in my house. I am out numbered in the Little household by 3 guys (4 if you count Koda, the dog) and NO we will not be trying for a girl. God knew exactly what he was doing by blessing me with 2 boys because he knows I would be pulling my hair out with a girl, then again my luck if we did keep trying is that I would get those 5 boys my mom ALWAYS prayed over me when I got on her nerves (haha).

Konner came a day earlier than expected from the last post and was born on Sept 9, 2009. That's right 09-09-09 and was ALMOST 9 pounds, weighing in at 8lbs 13oz and 21in long he came out a toddler ready to play some football. He is a great baby, having slept through the night the past 2 nights he has spoiled me already, definitely keeping my fingers crossed that he ends up loving to sleep like I do. He definitely has my eating habits down pat, after our first doctor's appointment last week he already weighed 9lbs 4oz, like I said, he is my "chunky monkey".

Without further delay, I know you guys are just looking for the pictures, so here goes. :o)
Big brother not so sure what to think yet...

Baby Boy Little #2

It's official, Baby Boy Little #2 (no official name yet) will be here Sept 10, that's this Thursday people! I go for my last sonogram this Tuesday for Doc to measure and try and figure out how big this baby boy is going to be. I can tell you right now, he's going to be larger than Hayden was and he was 7lbs 9oz and that was 2 weeks early. Can't wait to see how much larger this Little boy is going to be. I'll keep everyone updated as we progress!

Is it time yet?

It's not even close to time! I haven't been on my personal blog in a while because I've trying to get my business blog up and going so I've not been able to keep up with my weeks on pregnancy. I have been thinking this whole time that I'm 36 weeks only to have my bubble burst to find out I'm only 34 weeks (I need to update the ticker and get it on the new due date). Doc said she would take baby Sept. 9 if he wasn't here before and as of right now I'm hoping he's here before. It would be really neat to have him share a bday with his great, great aunt Lucy and his Uncle Brad, but I'm tired of not sleeping, heart burn, back pains, joint pains, being tired all of the time, and just being pregnant in general. I went into Target the other day and saw some really cute clothes that I really wanted to buy, but then I remembered "Oh yeah, my pregnant self can't fit into those cute clothes right now". And if my doctor tells me tomorrow that he's measuring larger than normal for this part of my pregnancy, I think I might just have to tell her a few things if she's not going to induce labor right then. :o) Needless to say, unless by the grace of God He decides that I need to have another child, there will be no more babies for this part of the Little family!!! I always wanted a large family, but I'll be stopping at 2, I think that's large enough.

Distressed Frames Project

For a couple of years I've looked at the distressed picture frames at the Canton Flea Market and a few other places and have never wanted to spend the money they ask for them so I went ahead and tried to make my own. Here are a couple of the ones I've done for my mom for her desk at work, I think they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Let me know what you think, I'm thinking of making several more. I have all of the materials to do this and was going to start today, but it is just entirely to hot outside to do anything after 7am and I'm not getting up before then to work.

As you can tell, these are not picture FRAMES exactly, but the pictures are held up by small clothes pins attached to the board, I felt like I needed to add my own personal touch to them. The "family" board doesn't have anything on it yet, but I'll get to that later. Maybe after my air gets fixed I'll go outside (I have to have a cool place to come back into) and work on some more and post pictures later tonight.
By the way, I am thinking about selling these after I get some more made, these will probably sale for around $30 so if anyone is interested email me or leave a comment. I'm always open for more ideas also, so let me hear from you!

Feeling baby brother...

After Hayden woke up this morning he we did our usual, which is to sit in the recliner, rock for a few minutes and watch cartoons. As we are rocking this morning baby brother is dancing in the belly so I asked Hayden if he wanted to feel his baby brother kick. He put his hand on my stomach and his little face just lit up when he felt him kick his hand, so he put his head on my stomach, and thought it was the funniest thing for his baby brother to kick him in the head. After that game, he decided that he wanted to see my belly button (he always like to poke people in the belly buttons for some strange reason), so he poked me in the belly button and I told him that he was going to poke his brother in the head if he didn't stop. At that moment he put his head down like he was looking in my belly and said, "I see baby, mama". Oh, out of the mouth of babes is all I could think. He is to funny, and I think now it's starting to become reality that he is about to be a big brother!

To cry or not to cry...

I don't know whether I should cry or rejoice for my little man growing up like he is.
For starters, I took him to the Reservoir this past Friday and he had a blast. At first he didn't even want to get in the water, but after a few minutes of sitting on the edge of water we walked in, after a few minutes of holding my hand he wanted to walk around in the water by himself. For a while he refused to hold my hand even though I told him that not all parts were as shallow as where he was first standing.

Saturday, Jeff took him on his first real 4-wheeler ride to Copiah Creek. No we don't have pictures because I didn't go, but I did get play by plays a lot of the time. The first call Jeff told me that they had ridden for a while and then it was time to eat lunch, but Hayden refused to eat a thing because he was to busy playing in the creek. Then after Jeff and our friends ate they went off to ride some more, but like his mama and daddy, that little dude is a fish out of water. Jeff said he preferred acting like a fish in the creek over 4-wheeling, but of course LOVED that also.
He is now potty trained (for the most part) he still wears the pull-ups when he sleeps because I'm not very brave yet, but will still wake up on occassions to go to the bathroom.
This morning was when I knew I wasn't needed, or wanted for that matter, when he was going #2 and I went to check on him (normally he wants me in there with him) and he said, "get out mama". Many tears wanted to form at that moment, but I held back realizing my little baby is not a baby anymore. Not to mention the fact that he is now taking showers instead of baths and loves those also, not afraid at all!

It's a...

BOY!!! We are having another precious, beautiful, wonderful, awesome, handsome, little boy and I'm so excited. I love my mama's boy right now and I know that he is going to be a great helper with his little brother, so I can only imagine two of them running wild around the house. When we found out Jeff of course was elated as expected. He and I had a little bet going on before we went into the office for the Sono, he was saying we were going to have a boy and I was saying a girl. EVERYTHING has been so different and totally oposite than it was with Hayden so I just knew it was going to be a girl. To my surprise, I lost the bet, good thing we didn't shake on that deal. God knows what I can handle and it sure 'nough wasn't a girl, I don't think I would've handled the drama very well, as well as other things that come along with little girls. The doc said everything looked great with him and it is looking like he will turn out a lot like Hayden. Early, and still big... I can't wait for him to be here and to have my 3 men in my house! Now I get to go shopping!!!!!!!!!! Yippy!!!

Easter 2009

Easter Sunday we did the usual, nothing out the the ordinary, went to church and then went to Mamaw's house for lunch and egg hunting. Lots of fun, Jeff wasn't with us again this year since he was in Germany picking up casualties from Afghanistan, last year he was in Afghanistan (maybe next year). I don't have much to post on this topic but I do have some cute pics. Barry (my step-dad) went a little crazy with my camera so there are random photos of Hayden and I not looking at the camera, but some turned out.

Aaaah...

Seriously! I'm about to go crazy, my doctor appointment isn't until Thursday (AFTERNOON) and this is the appointment where we will find out if we are going to be having a little girl or another tough, yet sweet and loveable, boy! I'm excited, but it really is taking a really long time to get to this point. It didn't seem like it took this long when I was pregnant with Hayden, but I guess in a way it didn't. We found out with Hayden when I was 16 weeks and I'm almost into my 19th week with this one, the suspence is killing Jeff and I both. Anyway, just had to get that off my chest, so I'll let you guys know the scoop after Thursday, I'm sure I'll be shopping not long after. Well, if we are having a girl that is, since we already have everything from when Hayden was little.

Mud Pies, and Mud Slides

After it rained here yesterday Hayden wanted to go outside to play. Normally after it rains I don't let him go out to our backyard because not all of the grass has grown back yet and I don't want him to get into the water and mud. So I went out and checked everything out before letting him out back and decided it was alright for him to play as long as he stayed out of the 1 or 2 water puddles that were in the yard (closer to our porch). I let him out back and explained that he needed to stay out of the water and he said, "yes mam" making me think that he understood what I was saying. Well, I go inside for a few minutes to check on some clothes and come back out to this

While he stayed out of the water puddles I didn't think to tell him to stay out of the mud also. I couldn't do anything about his filth after that nor could I get mad at him for not obeying me because he never once got in the water puddles. Oh well, he had a good time running and sliding in the mud and making tracks for his 4-wheelers and tractors to drive through. Boys will be boys!

Jenia Johnson Photography UPDATE

As all of you know, Hayden won a photo contest and had a photo shoot with the photographer! Well, we finally have pictures here are a few, I hope you guy like them. Jenia also gave me her new business cards and reference cards with Hayden's face on them, he is her new cover model!

Memphis

We took a day trip to Memphis a couple of Saturdays ago (the same Saturday that Hayden sneezed on the table) so we could eat at Rendezvous, a fabulous B-B-Q joint in the back alley of downtown Memphis. Also so we could take Hayden to the children's museum. We had a great time once we got there, the 3 hour trip was actually pleasant with a 2 yr old, having only stopped once Hayden did GREAT! I took the Nintendo DS because I knew that once he saw it he would want to play with it for a while, as well as other toys for Hayden. After eating Hayden saw the Trolley and wanted to ride, since it was getting later and we still wanted to go to the museum we told him afterwards we would ride the trolley. So we headed to the museum and being a Saturday it was PACKED, I mean a total madhouse, literally a zoo in the place. But we pressed on and continued to have fun. Hayden got to pilot a Fed-Ex plane, Jeff showed him everything in the cockpit, although Hayden really knew exactly what he was doing after seeing the plane Jeff flies on at the guard base. He slid down a gi-normous slide about a million times, he learned how to change the tire on a car, he also got to drive a police motorcycle, a real one. Pretty cool place, but I don't recommend going there on the weekends, maybe take off one day during the week during a school year and go. By the time we were finished playing in the museum Hayden was wiped out and so was I, he had forgotten all about the trolley ride so we headed for home. It was a very quiet ride going home as well, Hayden slept from the time we put him in the car until we were about 45 minutes away from home! God is good!!!
