Self Check-Out

I was at Kroger yesterday picking up less than 15 items (express is 15 or less) so when it came time for check-out I was going to go to the self check out lane. Well... I get there and are 3 check outs open, one wasn't working, and the other 3 had people at them. I get in line behind the 1, count them, 1 person standing in line and realize that we are not moving at all. It wasn't until I realized that one person had the cashier person helping her because she was in a wheelchair, another person was waiting for the cashier to come help her because she didn't know what she was doing, not to mention the fact that she left the register twice to go back and get 2 items she had forgotten (luckily they weren't far away), and the third person really had no clue! He only had a few items, but 2 of them were produce! Seriously people, if you don't know how to look at the little sticker on the bananas, or use the code lookup for your tomatoes (while they are still on the register) then don't use the self check out. Also, if you don't know that everything has to be placed in the bag instead of your buggy after you scan them (because the lady inside the register will yell at you), don't use the self check out. Also, if you don't get it the first time the lady in the register yells at you to PLACE YOUR ITEMS IN THE BAG, don't use the self check out! Last but not least, if you don't take enough money into the store with you and have to leave your items IN THE BAG, at the register and have to go hunt your wife down in the store leaving other people standing in line behind you, don't go into the grocery store at all. Let your wife do the shopping!!! Needless to say, I had moved a good while before all of these people had even finished to the express lane and I was gone way before all of the other people even had time to blink!
There really should be a big sign at the self check out line (just like there is for the express line) that says: 1. IF YOU'RE BUYING OUT THE WHOLE STORE DO NOT USE SELF CHECK OUT 2. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO USE SELF CHECK OUT PROPERLY, HENCE THE WORD "SELF"!
