Sesame Street Live

Saturday afternoon we went to the Momslikeme.com showing of Sesame Street Live and Hayden had a great time, while Jeff and I had a great time just watching him enjoy the show. We got there just a few minutes before show time which was a good thing because it didn't give Hayden much time to get antsy, right in time to see our fearless leader of the Momslikeme "Mom Squad" welcome everyone to the show. Not long after that we were greeted by the opening of Elmo Makes Music on a huge sign with neon lights, following right after that we got to meet Burt, Ernie, and Rubber Duckie (Rubbie Duckie, if you're Hayden). Then the rest of the characters from Sesame Street appeared in their bright and colorful costumes. After the characters came out, we were introduced to "Jenny" the Music teacher for the afternoon, who was waiting on her truck to arrive to Sesame Street with all of her musical instruments in it. As she waited and waited and became sad sometimes that her truck wasn't there, Elmo and the rest of the crew we trying to find ways to cheer her up and keep her mind off of things. This is where the number and letter of the day come in, "J" and "8". The "Count" counted and sang about the number 8, as did everyone else about the number and letter "J". Through out the show, Hayden was sitting on the edge of his seat waiting for the next dance move and song. He was glued to the show practically the whole time, the other times he was stuffing his face with Cheerios and Gummy Worms, that his smart mommy brought so we wouldn't have to pay 10 bucks for 2 pieces of popcorn (Pop Pop Corn). Then comes intermission, Heaven forbid we go the whole show without a break, and we didn't. This is when Hayden gets antsy and wants to show out Hayden style. Jeff takes him for a short walk and brings him back in time for the second half and Hayden is no longer interested in the production, about 5 minutes passes and he's okay again, because I give him more food (he gets it honestly... from his Daddy haha). All in all we had a fabulous time watching ou little man, actually sit still, and enjoy a major production such as this!

I hate that you guys didn't get to see the show! They do it every year, so this wasn't the last time. :o(
