DISCLAIMER: The discussion of doing #2 in the potty is being written about, do not read if you have a weak stomach or you are eating.
As many of you know we have been working on potty training and it has been going very well. I've decided to stop buying pull ups and just put Hayden in underwear and that is going GREAT! I had one incident where number 2 didn't make it to the potty in time and totally freaked Hayden out, but I think we have remedied that situation, by going in the potty. This morning he came to me right after he had already peed in the potty and said, "Need to potty again" so I said to myself, OK whatever let him go. So I took him and sat him on the toilet and he right after he got up there he said, "gone now, I finished" as I figured so he got dressed again and went on, a couple of minutes later we went through this 2 more times until I said, "Hayden do you need to poo poo?" He said, "I poop" right after that I left him alone going back to the kitchen to fix lunch and I hear him screaming like a little girl saying, "mama, mama", he was pretty freaked out by this movement but of course I was elated, the best thing since sliced bread for sure!!! I was so excited I told him without thinking to put any stipulations on this reward, "after you wake up from your nap we will go to Walmart and get any toy you want" thank Heavens he is only two and maybe he won't take that like a 15 year old would. ~eek~

Send him home...
A couple of days ago, one of my neighbor's children came over to play with Hayden. As he rings the doorbell, I let him inside and he bolts to the backyard with Hayden in tow. Jeff was home and I needed to get a couple of things from the farmer's market across the street, so I asked Jeff if he was okay watching the boys for a few minutes. He was so I left, and returned about 10 minutes after I left to find that the boys hadn't killed each other and Jeff's hair was still in his head (he was still calm). I go outside to check on Jeff, clearly the boys are alright covered in sand from the sandbox, I ask Jeff if he's okay and he's just laughing. He went on to tell me that Hayden and his friend got into a little spat because Hayden wouldn't share his toys. PC (neighbor child) comes over to Jeff and says, "Hayden's daddy, Hayden won't share his truck, he keeps taking it from me." So Jeff pulls Hayden to the side and explains that he needs to share with PC and not a second after Jeff finished talking Hayden says, "Make PC go home!". Joy, joy, the things I have to look forward to in the near future when Hayden can't send his sibling back to where he/she came from!
