Jenia Johnson Photography
Well, Hayden had his photo shoot with Jenia Johnson that he won off of her blog for the cutest kid contest. We went to Camellia Bay out here at the Rez on Friday afternoon and had so much fun. While we were waiting on Jenia we had some play time so he was running all over the place being a typical boy, playing in the dirt, trying to climb trees, sitting by the water watching the ducks and geese, he also found a huge dirt pile to play in. At least that's what he thought it was, before I had to get over to him and inspect what he was playing in he was standing up, crying and saying, "ouch ants!!!". Yeah, this isn't cool when you haven't even started the photo shoot yet and your kid is already very upset and unhappy. They bit his hands a few times and got all in his clothes but I ripped those off quickly. Good thing I had a change of clothes because he refused to put his cute little jeans, collar shirt, and boots back on. Once Jenia got there and he warmed up to her, he was off having fun again. The photos turned out great, Jenia did an excellent job with getting his attention and just capturing his boyish nature of climbing in trees and having fun! After she got all the pictures she wanted of him running around everywhere she gave him this HUGE over sized lollypop and let him eat it while sitting in a little wooden chair. Absolutely adorable!!!! We don't have any of the pictures yet, but she did put a teaser up on her blog of 3 photos she took if you want to check them out. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone with children because she is great! She does to studio photos, but mainly does photos of them outside so she can capture them being themselves having fun and not being posed.
What?
About 3 weeks ago when Jeff came home from work I had a bright pink sign posted on the door "Blue or Pink What do you think we will have in 38 weeks?" he was on the phone with his brother as he is reading this and says, "hey man, I need to call you back!" I found great humor in this, because I NEVER surprise Jeff. Needless to say, we are having our second bundle of joy in a few months and we are so happy. After Jeff got over the shock he told me we had to go buy another 4-wheeler so that every member of the family would have one, I told him quickly that I would gladly give mine up. We ARE NOT buying another bike!
My first appointment couldn't be worked in until the 11th of Feb so I will have more details later!
Red Faced
This might be a little disturbing to some, but it was funny to me so I had to share it. Hayden and I were sitting at the bar sharing an apple the other day and I noticed he had turned his back to me. So I looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing, he was just eating his apple but his face was blood red. I looked at him and said, "what are you doing Hayden?", he quickly turned to me with a straight face and says, "try to poop". I know, TMI (to much information), but this kid was so serious, like I had interrupted his business, well I guess I had right. It was hilarious!
Fixing Daddy
I walked into out bedroom where I knew Jeff was trying to rest for a little while, to check on him and I found this...
I asked Hayden what he was doing and he said, "daddy fix". I tried to explain to him that he was going to be working for a while and he would probably be disappointed by the outcome of things. It didn't stop him though, he went straight back to work with his sander and screwdrivers.
Workin' man
Hayden decided he wanted to be like daddy and stack the wood when it was cold several weeks ago. We didn't ask him to do any of this, he moved it from the pile by the fence and put it closer to the house so we wouldn't have to walk so far. He started with nothing and by the time he finally pooped out he had a least 50 pieces of wood stacked up without the help of Jeff or myself.

Potty Time
Well it has been a little while since that last post, but I had to get through the holidays and the virus Hayden had. After a week and a half of throwing up and NASTY diapers he is doing much better and is back to his spasmic self! Now we are going full force ahead on the potty training. I am so tired of changing tee-tee and poo-poo diapers it's not even funny and I think he is actually ready to start also. I started a while back just rewarding him with stickers and then I moved on to a sticker chart, where every time he went to the potty successfully he got a sticker and in the end he would get a toy for a full chart. That went well for the first 2 times and then he didn't really care so much. After that I moved on to giving him candy and stickers for a successful moment. After I saw that he had a good response to both of those I bought him some "big boy pants". Today was a great day!!! He has gone 5 times in one day with the only major accident being that he didn't sit back far enough on the toilet and soaked EVERYTHING! I put them on him after he had on a pull up, after he soaked that I put the underwear on him and told him that if he went to the bathroom in his pants he was getting a time out. Immediately he said, "go potty now" I got him to the potty and immediately he went. Not 5 minutes later he said he had to potty again! I can't tell you how happy this makes me, I'm definitely a mom that is beyond excited about this potty thing. Now I'm just scared about doing the number 2... guess we'll see how that goes later. I'll let y'all know about tomorrow. :o)

Chrismas 2008
So I tried again to post the other day right after I said in the previous post that everything was normal again. It wasn't, my blog did the same thing after I posted about the problem.
Oh well, so Christmas is well behind us and I am behind on posting about it, so here goes.

We did the family thing of course as usual, the good thing was that Jeff got to be home for it this year instead of being in Afghanistan. I was so glad about that too because this was the first time that Hayden really got into opening presents and we had so much fun watching him. Our Christmas started off as usual going to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Pisgah for an early Christmas a couple of weekends before. We ate to much food, did a lot of 4 wheeler riding and fishing (so much fun) and of course we can't forget the presents. Christmas Eve day we went to Jeff's parent's house and ate a lot of food and opened presents there also. Right after we left there we headed back home for a few minutes just to turn around and leave again for my Step-dad's parent's house (Granny and DaddyBill) to eat MORE food and open gifts, and we can't forget the stickers that Hayden always finds when we are there. Christmas morning we woke up to a ton of presents and a lot more food. Talk about a new year resolution, I'm just gonna try and not eat that much next year during the holidays (yeah right!). I've posted a few pictures of our adventures...

Problems
The other day when I posted my last post I had full intentions of posting more, but for some reason I couldn't. Every time I would try to start a new post it would take me to the Mom's Squad Blog, although I'm a part of that, it's not where I was needing to post. Oh well, hopefully the problem is fixed now.
