Ok, I have to start this post by saying that my kid is THE cutest 2 year old on the face of this earth. Take a look at his Halloween picture and you will agree!See, I told you that you would agree and couldn't argue. Thursday was Rankin County's trick or treat night and Hayden went as a Future CEO, he was sporting his briefcase and all. Of course after the night was over his briefcase wasn't full of paper work, but candy, he knows better than to bring his work home with him. We started off going to Winner's Circle Park with our friends Tim and Darla and her daughter Breland. Shortly after being there for about 45 minutes we left because it was entirely to crowded for my comfort level. When the kid wants to ride the train around the park and you walk to find the line and it's a mile long, you have to break your promise immediately and apologize profusely that you "lied" when you said, "I promise we will ride the train before we leave" you know there are TO MANY people there. So, after that, we all left and went to our neighborhood to trick or treat. Breland and Hayden had a blast! There was no stopping these kids from getting their candy. Once Hayden got the hang of everything and realized, "hmmm I get candy in my briefcase and all I have to do is walk up to someone's door and say trick or treat and look absolutely adorable while doing it". We finally had to make the kids stop when all the lights on the houses were turning off because it was getting late. Needless to say, Hayden and Breland got a lot of candy and we got a good workout from walking around the neighborhood. We tried and tried all night to get Hayden and Breland to take a picture together, but Hayden wasn't gonna stand by a girl.

Hadyman!
Why?
Why does my child think that he needs medicine for EVERYTHING? Besides the fact that he's my husband child also and daddy takes medicine for splinters (not really, but he would if it helped). The other day he stumped his toe while running through the house and while running to me crying he's saying the whole way, "meicine, ice, mama kiss". I can kiss it and I will put ice on it if it's bad enough, but there is no way on this earth I am going to give the kid medicine for a stumped toe! Get a straw and suck it up kid! That's not what I said to him, but when he gets old enough I will. :o)

Sesame Street Live
Saturday afternoon we went to the Momslikeme.com showing of Sesame Street Live and Hayden had a great time, while Jeff and I had a great time just watching him enjoy the show. We got there just a few minutes before show time which was a good thing because it didn't give Hayden much time to get antsy, right in time to see our fearless leader of the Momslikeme "Mom Squad" welcome everyone to the show. Not long after that we were greeted by the opening of Elmo Makes Music on a huge sign with neon lights, following right after that we got to meet Burt, Ernie, and Rubber Duckie (Rubbie Duckie, if you're Hayden). Then the rest of the characters from Sesame Street appeared in their bright and colorful costumes. After the characters came out, we were introduced to "Jenny" the Music teacher for the afternoon, who was waiting on her truck to arrive to Sesame Street with all of her musical instruments in it. As she waited and waited and became sad sometimes that her truck wasn't there, Elmo and the rest of the crew we trying to find ways to cheer her up and keep her mind off of things. This is where the number and letter of the day come in, "J" and "8". The "Count" counted and sang about the number 8, as did everyone else about the number and letter "J". Through out the show, Hayden was sitting on the edge of his seat waiting for the next dance move and song. He was glued to the show practically the whole time, the other times he was stuffing his face with Cheerios and Gummy Worms, that his smart mommy brought so we wouldn't have to pay 10 bucks for 2 pieces of popcorn (Pop Pop Corn). Then comes intermission, Heaven forbid we go the whole show without a break, and we didn't. This is when Hayden gets antsy and wants to show out Hayden style. Jeff takes him for a short walk and brings him back in time for the second half and Hayden is no longer interested in the production, about 5 minutes passes and he's okay again, because I give him more food (he gets it honestly... from his Daddy haha). All in all we had a fabulous time watching ou little man, actually sit still, and enjoy a major production such as this!
Organic Food
As I'm trying to stick to the new "eating habits" (we can't call it a diet or it's no fun) of no dairy, or lite dairy, I go to the store Friday and pick up some new things I wanted to try. One of them was "the Laughing Cow" cheese, the cheese is in the cheese and dairy section but it is Lite. I bought the lite, original swiss cheese and took it home and tried it on my 1 apple for the day for my snack and LOVED it! This is my new snack from here on out, even if I eat it on wheat thins or something of the sort it is great! The other thing I bought was NO DAIRY icecream, it was called "Purely Decadent, Chocalate Obsession" it didn't have milk in it, but it was soy. This stuff is to die for, I let Jeff have a taste before I told him what it was, and he LOVED it and wanted all of it. It is in the organic section of the grocery store, needless to say, I will be shopping in the Organic section a lot more in the future.
Blah!
I know I haven't written in a couple of days, and it hasn't been due to laziness this time. I have been sick since Wednesday and have not felt like this in a long time, if ever. So Wednesday I am begging Jeff to come home as early as possible while trying to round up a little help on the side. When is finally able to come home I am outside with Hayden wrapped up in my house coat, sweat pants, socks and house shoes, before this I was in the bed under the covers in all of this garb while Hayden was napping. After he comes home I pull out the thermometer and have a slight fever, nothing to fret about, 100.8, so I lay back in the bed and wish I had some chicken noodle soup. Meanwhile, my sweet mama is whipping me up a batch of homemade chicken noodle soup to eat the next day. I was a lot better the next day and I still say it's because of the chicken noodle soup :o). Moving forward to Saturday, we go to Elmo (saving the story for a later blog) and then an Office Party right after that where I am outside most of the time. After feeling better the day before, I go home after this party and feel worse (I know, I was outside the whole time). I woke up this morning and hated to sit up because the pain in my throat is so great and then open my mouth to talk and it's nothing but a whisper. Needless to say, Jeff is LOVING his life right now, because he doesn't have a nagging wife, well not a loud one anyway. My crazy father-in-law told him that I needed to tell the doctor tomorrow that he wanted whatever it was that made me unable to talk bottled up so he could sale it to all of the women in the world, probably also to give it to the two in his house haha. So Pappy, I will see what I can do tomorrow because I want to sale it to all of the men as well. Wow, think about that, we would have a perfect world after that! :o)

Pasta and Fries, Oh my!!!
About 2 months ago I went to the doctor for just some congestion and allergy stuff... well, of course they wanted to weight me, like that had anything to do with my allergies! After whining and complaining I was forced onto the scale and wasn't able to take my shoes off and we ALL know that the shoes adds at least 10 pounds to everything haha! Anyway, after leaving the doctors offices with my prescriptions weighing me down and the weight on the scales getting me down even further I decided I needed a change. Skipping ahead a couple of months, I finally broke down and went to my trainer at the gym and told her I needed help. Not just with workouts but with my diet. So here I am looking at this itty, bitty, skinny, cute, little, lady of course older than me so I felt worse, and she's about to tell ME what to do and EAT. Yeah, I was alright with that until we started talking about my eating habits. Any of you who know me well enough know that I like my pasta and french fries!!! I know what you're thinking, "Well that's your problem right there fatty, lay off the carbs!" guess what, you're wrong!!!!! I also love grapes and bananas and she told me to lay off of those also because of all of the sugars. So here I am with a fridge full of "healthy" groceries, so I thought, and now I have to eat all of that (hehe) before I can go and purchase MORE healthy stuff. All in all, it was a GREAT workout and I left feeling better about myself, also a good bit sore, but I will strive to my goal of loosing 10 pounds by Thanksgiving. She did tell me that this was an achievable and healthy goal so I know I can do this. Keep me and Jeff in your prayers, because if I don't kill Jeff because of my new eating habits he is bound to kill me because of my grumpiness due to the lack of pasta and fries in my new "EATING HABITS".

Trick or Treat
With all of the fall festivities here and the holidays right around the corner I started thinking about Halloween. I'm not much on halloween, but don't want the kid to be left out of all the fun and candy on Halloween. However, he STILL does not have a costume and Jeff will be in a rage if Hayden has to go as "Chicken Little" again. Yes, I said Chicken Little, this is what he was last year due to my procrastination and Jeff wasn't in the least bit happy about it, I on the other hand thought he was the cutest chicken I had ever seen. Hopefully, the guard base will help me out a little bit and get their shipment of supplies in on time and I can go get a flight suit and Hayden can be daddy for halloween. Keep your fingers crossed (for Jeff's sake anyway).

This kid is hilarious!
Last night as we're eating our left overs for Sunday dinner, Jeff and Hayden are sitting at the table while I am... oh I don't remember. Anyway, Hayden is apparently finished eating when he is no longer eating but playing in his food. As he is playing he looks at his food and says, "hey sausage" a few minutes later he says, "hey fish fies" (also known as french fries) "hey chicken, hey milk" after all of this Jeff and I are bent over we are laughing so hard at the kid, as Hayden looks up and just grins his biggest grin and laughs at himself, we've got to get this kid out more. This was by far one of the funniest things I've seen and heard in a long time.

Peace and Quiet
Jeff and Hayden are both asleep... in my bed... meaning I have little toes in my face and the cute little munchkin at the end of those cute little toes is fast asleep... on my side of the bed. So I thought I would take this time to start my first blog. That's right, my FIRST blog EVER, so deal with me people and help me out with any suggestions when you think of them. I decided that I wanted to start the blog for family members and friends to keep up with the Little Family, hence the URL name "littleothis". I hope you guys enjoy reading what I write and find some humor in some things as well. In my household there is very little that goes on without a comical moment, especially with a growing (quickly) 2 year old boy in the house and a 29 year old boy as well (haha).
That's it for now, I'm sure there will be many more in the future.
HE guides me,
Brandie Little
