DISCLAIMER: The discussion of doing #2 in the potty is being written about, do not read if you have a weak stomach or you are eating.
As many of you know we have been working on potty training and it has been going very well. I've decided to stop buying pull ups and just put Hayden in underwear and that is going GREAT! I had one incident where number 2 didn't make it to the potty in time and totally freaked Hayden out, but I think we have remedied that situation, by going in the potty. This morning he came to me right after he had already peed in the potty and said, "Need to potty again" so I said to myself, OK whatever let him go. So I took him and sat him on the toilet and he right after he got up there he said, "gone now, I finished" as I figured so he got dressed again and went on, a couple of minutes later we went through this 2 more times until I said, "Hayden do you need to poo poo?" He said, "I poop" right after that I left him alone going back to the kitchen to fix lunch and I hear him screaming like a little girl saying, "mama, mama", he was pretty freaked out by this movement but of course I was elated, the best thing since sliced bread for sure!!! I was so excited I told him without thinking to put any stipulations on this reward, "after you wake up from your nap we will go to Walmart and get any toy you want" thank Heavens he is only two and maybe he won't take that like a 15 year old would. ~eek~

Send him home...
A couple of days ago, one of my neighbor's children came over to play with Hayden. As he rings the doorbell, I let him inside and he bolts to the backyard with Hayden in tow. Jeff was home and I needed to get a couple of things from the farmer's market across the street, so I asked Jeff if he was okay watching the boys for a few minutes. He was so I left, and returned about 10 minutes after I left to find that the boys hadn't killed each other and Jeff's hair was still in his head (he was still calm). I go outside to check on Jeff, clearly the boys are alright covered in sand from the sandbox, I ask Jeff if he's okay and he's just laughing. He went on to tell me that Hayden and his friend got into a little spat because Hayden wouldn't share his toys. PC (neighbor child) comes over to Jeff and says, "Hayden's daddy, Hayden won't share his truck, he keeps taking it from me." So Jeff pulls Hayden to the side and explains that he needs to share with PC and not a second after Jeff finished talking Hayden says, "Make PC go home!". Joy, joy, the things I have to look forward to in the near future when Hayden can't send his sibling back to where he/she came from!

Baby Update
Well, I went to the doctor at the beginning of this month (I know I'm a little behind on blogging, don't remind me) and everything is going great. They found a small cyst on my right ovary, but that is nothing to be concerned with so far, they say that happens sometimes in the beginning stages of pregnancy and will go away I assume. Anyway, I got the first pictures of our little butterbean and she (no we don't know the gender yet, I'm just looking into the future) was just a waving at us, it seems like ages ago when I first saw Hayden in the womb and it was so surreal yet again. I told Jeff that I wasn't going to believe that I was pregnant until I actually saw the sonogram because I haven't gotten sick yet, but it is true, there's another little Little on the way, look out world! This pregnancy has been so different than the first one, with Hayden. I was sick everyday at least 2 times a day with him, and right now I've just been warn out and tired, I guess I shouldn't speak to soon right. So, the due date is Sept. 16, Hayden's due date was Sept 9 which is also his Great Great Aunt Luci's birthday and his Uncle Brad's birthday, and he was born on August 30. Maybe this one will come a little early and be born on the 9th or the 30th, that would be a pretty cool birthday gift for Hayden until he got older and had to share his birthday. Honestly, I really hope this one is not born on his birthday or any closer than need be because I really would like the 30th to stay Hayden's special day, and him not be unhappy when his younger sibling does come along. After I figure out this dumb scanner, I will post some pics of the bean.

Dixie National Parade
A few weeks ago I took Hayden to the Dixie National Parade, something I hadn't been to since I had been in the thing, a loooooong time ago, and we had so much fun! Jeff had drill that weekend so I took for my parents for assistance, any extra time Hayden gets to spend with his Papa is thoroughly enjoyed by both!
So we get there pretty early to avoid the crowds of vehicles, lack of parking spaces, and lack of visibility of the parade, needless to say we had time to kill so we hung out on Mississippi Street for a little while. Moving along, we found our places at the start of the parade (directly in the sun, great for warmth horrible for pictures)
. As the parade started the motor bregade started everything off
, besides a slight mishap at the end of MS Street with one of the motorcycles turning over (no one was hurt) we had a lot of fun! The Color Guard
was Hayden's first favorite, as he saw the men in uniform he said, "that daddy", of course it wasn't and I had to explain to him that's the uniform daddy wears but it wasn't daddy. Moving on to my first favorite, the Classic Cars,
and there were plenty of them. As the parade continued we saw people who reinacted the Civil War
, the Hinds Hi-Steppers
, the Rodeo Princesses and Queen(that was me once, ages ago)
, and of course we can't forget Haley Barbor
, and the Pick-Up Men
of the rodeo, and much more. Much fun was had by all and to much candy came home, luckily I gave away all of the Mardi Gras beads
behind Hayden's back because he wasn't bringing everything he had home with him, I could've resold all of the beads and made a killing off of them he was thrown so many! There was so much candy given to him he started off saying, "trick or treat" at the beginning. Finally he realized he didn't have to say anything at all so he just stood there looking as cute as pie holding his hand out
. When he caught candy he didn't really care for (peppermints, hard candy) he was a sweety and gave it to an elderly lady sitting beside us in her wheel chair. I know I can't wait until next year, and I'm sure he is the same!

Self Check-Out
I was at Kroger yesterday picking up less than 15 items (express is 15 or less) so when it came time for check-out I was going to go to the self check out lane. Well... I get there and are 3 check outs open, one wasn't working, and the other 3 had people at them. I get in line behind the 1, count them, 1 person standing in line and realize that we are not moving at all. It wasn't until I realized that one person had the cashier person helping her because she was in a wheelchair, another person was waiting for the cashier to come help her because she didn't know what she was doing, not to mention the fact that she left the register twice to go back and get 2 items she had forgotten (luckily they weren't far away), and the third person really had no clue! He only had a few items, but 2 of them were produce! Seriously people, if you don't know how to look at the little sticker on the bananas, or use the code lookup for your tomatoes (while they are still on the register) then don't use the self check out. Also, if you don't know that everything has to be placed in the bag instead of your buggy after you scan them (because the lady inside the register will yell at you), don't use the self check out. Also, if you don't get it the first time the lady in the register yells at you to PLACE YOUR ITEMS IN THE BAG, don't use the self check out! Last but not least, if you don't take enough money into the store with you and have to leave your items IN THE BAG, at the register and have to go hunt your wife down in the store leaving other people standing in line behind you, don't go into the grocery store at all. Let your wife do the shopping!!! Needless to say, I had moved a good while before all of these people had even finished to the express lane and I was gone way before all of the other people even had time to blink!
There really should be a big sign at the self check out line (just like there is for the express line) that says: 1. IF YOU'RE BUYING OUT THE WHOLE STORE DO NOT USE SELF CHECK OUT 2. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO USE SELF CHECK OUT PROPERLY, HENCE THE WORD "SELF"!

Jenia Johnson Photography
Well, Hayden had his photo shoot with Jenia Johnson that he won off of her blog for the cutest kid contest. We went to Camellia Bay out here at the Rez on Friday afternoon and had so much fun. While we were waiting on Jenia we had some play time so he was running all over the place being a typical boy, playing in the dirt, trying to climb trees, sitting by the water watching the ducks and geese, he also found a huge dirt pile to play in. At least that's what he thought it was, before I had to get over to him and inspect what he was playing in he was standing up, crying and saying, "ouch ants!!!". Yeah, this isn't cool when you haven't even started the photo shoot yet and your kid is already very upset and unhappy. They bit his hands a few times and got all in his clothes but I ripped those off quickly. Good thing I had a change of clothes because he refused to put his cute little jeans, collar shirt, and boots back on. Once Jenia got there and he warmed up to her, he was off having fun again. The photos turned out great, Jenia did an excellent job with getting his attention and just capturing his boyish nature of climbing in trees and having fun! After she got all the pictures she wanted of him running around everywhere she gave him this HUGE over sized lollypop and let him eat it while sitting in a little wooden chair. Absolutely adorable!!!! We don't have any of the pictures yet, but she did put a teaser up on her blog of 3 photos she took if you want to check them out. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone with children because she is great! She does to studio photos, but mainly does photos of them outside so she can capture them being themselves having fun and not being posed.
What?
About 3 weeks ago when Jeff came home from work I had a bright pink sign posted on the door
"Blue or Pink What do you think we will have in 38 weeks?" he was on the phone with his brother as he is reading this and says, "hey man, I need to call you back!" I found great humor in this, because I NEVER surprise Jeff. Needless to say, we are having our second bundle of joy in a few months and we are so happy. After Jeff got over the shock he told me we had to go buy another 4-wheeler so that every member of the family would have one, I told him quickly that I would gladly give mine up. We ARE NOT buying another bike!
My first appointment couldn't be worked in until the 11th of Feb so I will have more details later!
